By installing and using AuroraWrite ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Extension.

Description of Service

AuroraWrite is a browser extension that provides AI-powered writing assistance, including grammar checking, spelling correction, style suggestions, and text transformation features.

User Responsibilities

API Keys

• You are responsible for obtaining and managing your own API keys from AI providers
• You must comply with the terms of service of your chosen AI provider
• You are responsible for any costs incurred from API usage
• Keep your API keys secure and do not share them

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Extension to:

• Generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
• Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or create derivative works of the Extension
• Use the Extension in any way that could damage or overburden AI provider services

Third-Party Services

The Extension integrates with third-party AI services (Groq, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic, Together AI, Mistral). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service:

Intellectual Property

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Extension will meet your specific requirements
• The Extension will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The suggestions provided by the AI will be accurate or appropriate
• Any errors in the Extension will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE EXTENSION OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE EXTENSION.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated suggestions
• Data loss or corruption
• Costs incurred from AI provider API usage
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Extension at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the Extension after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
